About Us
URO - Urology Specialists was established in May 2025 to provide modern, specialist urological care supported by advanced technology. Led by Dr Philip Smith, a urological surgeon with over 20 years of experience in advanced and robotic surgery, our practice operates across Sydney and Cairns.
Dr Smith is a certified Da Vinci robotic surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive procedures and urological cancer care, using evidence-based approaches tailored to each patient. He trained in San Jose and Brisbane and has held senior roles across Queensland Health. Alongside clinical work, he contributes to medical governance and maintains professional affiliations and consultancies, supporting a thoughtful, patient-focused standard of care.
